Keralan fish cake with herbed grilled potatoes


  • Fish(king fish) 250gms
  • Ginger 5gms
  • Turmeric powder 3gms
  • Coconut milk 50ml
  • Chopped onion 100gms
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped coriander leaves 5gms
  • 3.Oil (for grilling) as required

For herbed grilled potatoes

  • Peeled and diced potatoes 3nos
  • Oregano 2gms
  • Garlic (finely coped) 5gms
  • Lemon juice half of a lemon
  • Salt to taste




  • Finely chop fish.
  • Mix the second mentioned ingredients together, apply it on fish and shape it with hand.
  • Grill the fish over medium heat and place it on the top of herbal grilled potatoes.
  • Serve hot with basil pesto.
